induction Hey guys i just need a few recommendations. I just bought a 2000 SS and i'm wondering about induction mods and free mods. i already have the SLP loudmouth on it, and i'm going to buy a lid, but do you guys have any other recommendations? i don't want to do anything big right now like the intake manifold or cam. But i would like to know your guy's opinions on things i should do first.
here is my set up.....SSRA (austin ram air)> SLP CAI>Free Ram Air mod>Fram paper filter>SLP Lid>Stock Maf(dont get an aftermarket one!)>SLP smooth bellow>Ported TB.....I honestly think that is one of the best setups to have on a bolt on car...

Most free mods are pretty pointless.
Are you M6 or A4?
TB by-pass is worth about zilch. Do it if you're bored or if you are swapping to a TB without the ability to have coolant running thru it.
TB porting is the single best free mod. There's a link in my sig of a writeup by Wilwaxu. Do a search if you want more info on it.
Throttle body bumpstop. Some TB's don't open fully, this is worth checking at the very least. Very easy to perform.
FRA (Free Ram Air) this is good for highway and high speed use, not 1/4 mile action from a dig. Do some research and discovery how the mod helps or hinders.
Other mods include the release srping for the rear hatch and stuff, not performance mods.
But pretty much none will offer any significant SOTP feel. And if you took two identical cars, one with all the free mods done and one without I willing to bet they would be pretty darn close in any form of race. The ported TB is the only one that really offers any HP.
BTW - leave your MAF alone. It's fine for well over 500bhp.
