FI intake manifold, debate, suggestions, opinions, facts?????
Getting my procharged 408 together, albeit slowly. am considering my intake manifold options. Car is a 2004 M6 GTO, Iron block 408, 9.5 SCR Dart 225's, with a 224/232 600/600 on a 114 cam. I am in Cali so passing smog is somewhat of an issue. Currently car has a P1SC which is pullied for max impeller speed @6200 RPM. Not sure what boost #'s that will produce, but I have an F1-C that will be going on after initial engine break in.
So here is the dilema....maybe. Boost will be limited to 16 psi until I lower SCR down the road. I am thinking the little ole LS6 intake is most likely fine at least for the P1SC-1. However for general edification, I would really like to see a head to head on the same FI motor the differences between the following intakes:
LS6
Vic JR.
GMPP
Wilson Billet Bank
Fast 90
General consensus seems to be that in the case of FI it just doesn't matter that much?? then again what about air distribution to our infamous rear cylinders? and if air is being forced into these problem cylinders, do we in fact have a distribution issue under FI conditions???
Any of you bucks up guys willing to experiment?????

Vic JR. intake will help with the air distribution. From what I understand the leaning issue with cylinder #7 will no longer be an issue. A friend of mine bought one for his FI setup. The are a lot of smart people in the Forced Induction section who can give you better information than this section.
