i never can get them though. i always end up losing the bid. "buy it now" defeats the purpose of bidding. but they do have the lower price. i forgot about them.

i got a lid and it was good but compared to my open filter it sucks, it works well with my ram air hood. u'd need an ultra z hood to gain similar gains on a camaro

u should be very happy with a lid and a good filter, i got a k&n filter and i was happy, i got my lid on ebay, the "buy it now" price is not bad and u get it quick with pay pal.

I'd go with an FIPK. I ran both and thought the FIPK performed better, plus it sounds insane with a ported TB. Also, in my experience, air temps are no different whether it's a lid or an FIPK. Sitting still at idle for a few minutes will bring the intake temps up, but once you get moving, they cool right back down to ambient temps. I've also heard where some people's fuel trims have slightly richened as a result of switching to the FIPK. This would indicate a slight increase in the volume of air entering the engine, also indicating less restriction or more flow. It's your call, but either way you can't really go wrong.

i have a lid on my dd TA and an fipk on my ***** out SS and if you want bang for your buck go with the lid and you definatly will feel the diference.
the fipk makes alot of noise from sucking in all that air and i just cut out a slot on the sheet metal under the filter like the free ram air mod everyone does with the lids and it looks sick when the hoods up.

benefit of a lid is that the FIPK costs alot more for little if any performance increase...

Here's the real deal...the FIPK just looks hotter!
performance wise I think its a draw..price wise..the lids cheaper..fit wise..Ive never heard anyone bitch about their FIPK not fitting correctly

If you patient you can finde somone selling their FIPK for around 150-200 bucks..no moving parts..it cant wear out...buy it used

Mine
