Yeah its worth it. Just get a ported and polished stocker, theyre pretty cheap to get. Maybe a gain of around 5 HP, not much but it helps out, especially once you mod more.

i was thinking of sending out my stocker to Bo White and have him P&P the TB..
couple other questions..
1) how do you take the TB off?
2) will i need new gaskets?
my buddy P&P his TB aobut 2 yrs ago and after that every time he was at WOT, nothing but black smoke out the tail pipes..
i do not want that. Will i get that with this mod? What did he do wrong?
and yes the bump stop mod is done already..
thanks

Disconnect the MAF and hose to the lid, take the lid and MAF and bellow off, take the hoses going to the bottom of the TB off- will be a small amount of coolant come out but no worries, take the vacuum line off thats on the pass. side of the TB, disconnect the IAC and TPS on the driverside of the TB, take the three bolts out of the TB- 1 up top and 2 on the bottom....its off. When ya put it back on just reverse the procedure.

I just used a drill with some sanding drums to get the big stuff, then worked my way up to 1000 grit sand paper(wet sanding past 400 grit) and some mothers mag and alum polish. Took a full day. I say do it yourself.
