Default Pacesetter y-pipe vs TSP y-pipe

i have made up my mind i'm getting the pacesetter's long tube's. are there any proven performance gains with the tsp y-pipe over the pacesetter y-pipe. both are 3in. does one fit better than the other? i'm not going to be running cats. both are about the same price. why would i want to buy one over the other?

I dont think the performance will vary but i've been researching this topic and it looks like the TSP fits better than the Pacesetter. Im going to buy my Pacesetter LT's and TSP ory. (TSP $500)

they both suck, i heard the TSP is slightly harder to install because it has more pieces or something like that, but other than that there isnt much difference, and since i know the pacesetter y-pipe sucks, i automatically assume all like objects suck as well...

Just be ready for the Pacesetter ORY to bang against your floorboard.

More than the TSP ORY? I just don't see how since TSP is not crunched and the Pacesetter is.

i have the tsp y. it was a bear to get all the peaces to line up. both ory's are going to bang on the floor board. just go with the cheaper setup. neither one is better than the other.

I have a pacesetter Y and I like it alot, the only downside I could possibly see is it is slightly crushed on the drivers side to clear the floorboard better. And yes it will hit the floorboard. My buddy got a TSP catted y and it was a PITA to make it fit and came in like 7000 pieces. He ended up buying the same pacesetter ORY I have on my car.

The pacesetter ORY seems to give a little more clearance than others I have seen.

I had the Pacesetter headers and y-pipe on my 96 SS and it fit pretty good. Obviously that's a different engine but they should be pretty similar. I even added dual cats to it with no problems. If your y-pipe is hitting the floor, then it could be worn motor mounts allowing the motor to move too much or the y-pipe was installed too close to begin with. The headers could have been bent upwards too much as well. I took the time and made sure I got it installed with a 1/2" gap. I would go with the Pacesetter y-pipe to start with.

i love pacesetter headers, i think they are a great product. but id never advise anyone to buy their Y pipe, it beats the crap out of your floorboard, pulls spark and makes your car slower than if you just left it alone.

PaceSetter Headers w/ PaceSetter ORY and MagnaFlow catback ... couldnt be happier with the fit. No banging issues, no problems with the install.

i've got the pacesetter ORY and it did slightly hit agaisnt the floorboard when first installed. After I put the converter in, and had my exhaust guy do a little fabbing, no more probs. Although it does hang a little low now.

My pacesetter y-pipe fits PERFECT in my 2002 SS. Just installed it the other day. CamminV6 had the TSP in his 2000 WS6 and it fit like ****.

Just my .02

I'll post pics up sometime soon to show you how good it fits
