What is the quietest "bullet style" muffler?
Just finished a twin trubo 350 Z and did a true 3" to the IRS. There are electric cutouts after the Dynomax bullets but they arent reducing the sound enough to my liking.
I want it straight through, minimal resistance, but not as loud as the 3" Bullets.
Any other suggestions?
I was thinking the Flo Pro twisters, perhaps the Magnaflows...

It's not really about brand but about correct sizing.
Running multiple mufflers, 2 per bank may be a better bet, it will still flow great and will have reduced the db level.
When you say 3" bullet, it tells us pretty much nothing as that's just the core size. It doesn't affect db level. Bullet length and amount of packing will.
A 24" long muffler will have more affect on db level than a 18" muffler. But would be equal to two 12" mufflers.
Case diameter, if it has a 3" core but is a 4" diameter bullet that means only 1/2" of packing, not a lot. A 3" core on a 6" diameter bullet will have 1 1/2" of packing, three times the amount.
Oval bullets contain more packing and will therefore have more db reduction.

Right now were sticking with the 12" bullets.
3.5" downpipes to a true 3" stainless system to the 3" bullets, in and out. After the bullets are 3" electric cutouts, to 2.5" reducers, under the axle to a borla catback.
Quiet until you flip the switch. Less backpressure for the turbos!
Were starting the tuning tomm.
