Default Pics of new SSRA bottom for FTRA

I finalled got the new improved version of the lower SSRA installed on my car which has the upper FTRA. I was running the older metal version and decided to switch to the newer one.
Anyway, the newer one is made from a resilient and pliable plastic that fit perfect and will not crack if scraped (plastic welded). In the one picture you can see the bottom is squeezed and then returns back to shape with no problem. On the installed side view I put a arrow to reference where the bottom is in reference to the bumper and ground. My car is lowered 1.5" in the front.

I just knocked my lower piece off last week on a LARGE parking stop that I think was previously part of a railroad track. It was very tall.

I just glued the lower piece back where the plastic welds cracked but other than that - I'm very happy with the way it came off. I think even the screws in the bumper came out cleanly so I should be able to get it back on.

Gino, thanks for taking the pix. It looks good. Just to clarify, this is the "Austin Scoop" that I made for people who wanted a scoop for their FTRA/SLP cold air kits. Dimentionally it is different than the "SSRA". The scoop on the "SSRA" will not fit the FTRA/SLP cold air kits. The "Austin Scoop" will.

I used to make them out of aluminum, however that got to be too expensive, so now they are made of plastic.

Oh yeah, before the mods get mad, LM Performance sells them for me. ---------------------------->

I just picked up the FTRA top portion from a user on here.

LM performance is selling the second piece scoops now by themselves or is it just that SLP upgrade kit?

I didn't have it installed when I was at the track a couple of months ago, but I'm going to run some back-to-back datalogging to measure the IAT on WOT runs.

I like that scoop. Is there anyway to just purchase the bottom portion to fit into my SLP?
I looked on LM's website and they just have the "kit" listed.

Remember, what you see pictured is the Austin Scoop, not the SSRA. The pictures are of the scoop that only fits the FTRA/SLP kits.

They used to have the old metal version of the "Austin Scoop". Check back in a day or two on LM Performances website. They should have it back on the site for $79.
