EGR advice!
If the EGR valve has been removed and the codes removed with a programmer will it pass emissions?
How hard is it to replace if I need too?
Thanks for the help!

Don't see why not - but don't take my word for it, no emissions here in Florida. Are they doing the sniffer, obdii check, and/or visual where you're at?

I'm pretty sure they only due the OBD check. I just recently moved back to the area that I have to do it. I only have had to do it once before and that was a while ago. I know that they hooked a computer to the OBD port and put something on the gas tank where the cap goes. I didn't see them put anything by the exhaust. Than they ran it on the rollers.
i will look into the sniffer test and see if they do it here or not.

I just found out that they don the sniffer for 6yr and old cars. What does it take to replace it? I am not the one who took it off. I bought it this way and now I live in a place that requires e-testing. Isn't a new EGR valve fairly cheap(60-90 dollars)? Would I have to get the wiring seperate or does it come with it?

I'd bring it in and try and get it inspected - make sure the car is nice and warm and at operating temp. What year is it? Posting this w/your car info in your area forum should get you a better answer.

IIRC the only wiring is the single EGR harness that's at the front of the passenger's side head. Just look for a wiring clip that isn't being used. It should be a single row of wires inside the clip about 5 or 6 wires wide. Other than that you just need to connect it between the exhaust manifold on the passenger's side and the intake manifold. I can't remember if there's a crossover pipe from the driver's to the passenger's side for the exhaust gases to go to the EGR valve. Oh and you're going to need some bolts to connect it to your passenger side head.
