Default LT's, ORY, and a stock catback

I was wondering if anyone has a sound clip of this. Im sure someone has done it. Im thinkin of running this setup for now until i decide i want a louder setup. Will it sound alright or will it sound like crap?

I've rode in a Z28 with lts, ory, and stock catback. It's pretty quiet for the most part but you can hear it scream a little at wot.

You can always add a Hooker Aerochamber muffler to it for $80. they are fairly quiet until WOT, then they scream. I like it b/c it retains a refined sound. Not to mention they are one of the best flowing muffler replacements for our cars.

I can take a video of my SS sooner or later. I have SLP dual dual one of the quietest and best flowing catbacks out there. Sounds just a hair louder than stock until you get into it. I wouldn't add LT headers and ORY and be choked by the stock exhaust. At least add a electric cutout

Put a cutout in the I-pipe. You can have it loud/quiet when you want too.

wait so you have the slp d/d setup and you wouldn't recommend adding lt's and an ory? i also have the slp d/d and was thinking of doing just this. why dont you think it would be a good idea? i figure i could gain 20-25 hp as well as getting it a little louder under wot. i like the fact that the system now is really quiet at idle and cruising under 2500 rpm, but i'd like it to be louder in the upper ranges.

One good thing is Stock cat backs flow better now then in the past, so you may not gain much more by going to a louder aftermarket unit, it all depends on your goals.

Might be losing a little power running it through the stock catback (non-slp dual dual setup) but it should be fairly tame.

I ran slp longtubes / ory through a stock z/28 catback. It sounded like a ferrari. but not in a good way. It was def. diffrent. It sounded kinda high pitched. I just switched to the slp dual / dual and absolutely love it. It freakin sounds awesome. Quiet at idle and cruising under 2k. Then when you rip on it the thing screams. It is the best "quiet" set up around. A real sleeper set up.
