Some stuff i did while changing cam
I am in the middle of my TR230 cam swap and was not in any kind of hurry so i messed around with a few things. I installed a set of Pacesetters, they were black painted so i put them in my glass beader and painted them with high heat silver. Then i took my coil packs and made so Fo-msd's-I tried just using krylon fusion plastic paint with no primer and it does not work. It look like crap if you try this. I sanded them with 400 and sprayed them with krylon sandable primer, sanded the primer with 400 then painted them with the red fusion paint. After the red dryed I used some high gloss Krylon clear coat. Next I bead blasted the valve covers, coil brackets and throttle body. Painted them with high heat gloss black engine paint and after they dryed I cleared them with the same brand high heat gloss clear coat.(worked really well) I have the front timing cover and alt. bracket sitting in the blaster that will also be painted the same way.
If anyone hates it, I dont care. Its my car and i could have painted everything P*#%y pink if I wanted to.-(they were all out so i used black)

i did the valve covers and coil brackets in 1200 degree high heat paint and clear coat. The coil packs are fusion paint. I have not finshed my cam swap yet so i will post back up if i have any paint issues with the coils. Should be alright the coils do not get that hot anyway.

I installed and bought headers the same time i bought all my cam stuff, so getting coated headers was not in my budget. At least i bead blasted them and coated them with high heat. I went ahead and settled for non-coated pacesetters that fit correctly vs: ss ebay headers that has that stupid bent angle on one side and no y-pipes that fit.

Looks nice!
Did you know that lots of paint places can make special paint matched spraypaints? Bring them a color and they send it off. It comes back in aerosol cans. If someone started making it, they could make a killing on here selling it in the different F-body colors (SOM, NBM, HO, etc.)

actually the jet hot y pipe fits like a glove and went in awesome so that was kind of a **** poor attack on the ebay headers.
