Symmetrical Exhaust
Hey I just got a Z28 like 2 weeks ago, ive been debating on what kind of exhaust to put on it I wanted to make it sound Ferrarish I dont really like that whole Muslce car tone. Well anyways I have been reading up on it and lurking on these forums and I cant find anything the only thing I have learned is that Borla or Corsa is probably the closest im going to get to the sound I want. But I cam upon this site
http://www.eng-tips.com/viewthread.c...=159006&page=6
it talks about why the corvette and camaros sound different yet the same engine, they seem to be mentioning the symmetry of the exhaust, I am wondering if their is a way to obtain a Symmetrical exhaust with a 2000 Z28 Camaro. I am also wonder if Symmetry has anything to do with it all if this is not the way to go would anybody please tell me the best way to get the Ferrarish sound in the Camaro.

if you mean symmetrical as in the pipes on each side of the car are the same length and mirrored and everything, your gonna have to have everything custom made. If you want a ferrari sound, figure out what ferrari you like and copy the exhaust. I'm not sure how you will do that if the ferrari has a rear mount engine but your gonna need the same mufflers they use and in the same location in the system if you even want to come close. I just don't know if that would even work since the engines are so different though
I hate to ruin ur hopes cuz maybe you will figure somethin out but this kinda sounds like the time when my v6 camaro friend asked me how to make his car sound like mine

Well this was built to get away from the drone and cheap sound many aftermarket systems create, and the typical F-Body car sound. Remus BMW V12 mufflers with a true dual exhuast and X-pipe. Most Italians and Germans high enders run a resonator before the mufflers, I opted not to.

from what i gathered a x pipe makes the car sound louder and more high pitched, H pipe its more bassy and muscle car.
there is only two readly made true dual systems that i know of, Texas speed, and bassani. best bet for you is to have a shop custom make a set for you.

all im hearing is "I bought something and want to totally change it from what it was meant to be. How can I do that?"
You don't drive an exotic, so don't try and make it one. This mentality is associated with ricers.
You can still make the drive next to you **** himself with the brands we have around this board.
