what if a man wanted his breaks still. i think there is a diode you can put in there so when you start the car its off, then you can turn it on with the button. Reverse of what it is now

or you could pull the switch out and short out the wires behind it so its perm off...that should be pretty easy if u can tell which wire goes to which (open and closed ciruts)

or you could buy the ABS/TCS delete form SJM Enginering and do it right, and drop a couple pounds too.

From earlier today or yesterday.. https://ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iii-external-engine/658946-traction-control-delete-keep-cruise.html

Has some useful info for you. Can just pull the connector off the TCS module.

I just unplugged mine as suggested by someone else on the board. The plug is right by the unit on the passenger's fenderwell.

I sometimes hook it back up if someone else is driving my car - it only takes 5 seconds.

you're brakes will still work, it'll just be minus the ABS system. the actual downfall from doing so, is if you ever got into an accident and the insurance company found out that you made your ABS not work, they won't pay for the damages.

Are you sure on that? I mean, in my state functional ABS is not required to pass safety inspection. The insurance company wouldn't have a leg to stand on IMO.

I have heard that this will only disable the traction unit and the car will still pull timing and fuel when it senses the wheels spinning.

Does anyone know for sure if unplugging the harness on the unit disables TCS/ABS in the PCM as well ?

Read my post in the thread that I linked. Most of us deleting it just don't like how it looks under the hood. I'm willing to pay the $40 for new cables to get rid of it completely. My nitrous solenoids will look factory installed because they fit perfect in that location

My last F-body did not have TCS from the factory ('88 TA). The car is way too far gone to sell to an average buyer and I do not intend to sell the car advertising that it has a working TCS system obviously, if I am to sell it at all. I don't see the problem in properly deleting (using GM parts as if the car did not come optioned with it) the TCS system?
