Default 02 sensors (help)

Okay so long story short: Had jethot cats installed when I put headers on car, they clogged up after about 8 months causing the car to bog under hard acceleration and surge pretty bad at diff rpm's. I had them replaced with magnaflows about 6 months ago. Car seems to run a little better at first but then started doing the same thing very soon after. I just replaced all four 02's last weekend and the car came alive like it hasnt in a year and a half. I was able to rip threw 4 gears to redline with no bogging or surging. I My wife was like (WOW,i havnt felt your car run like this in forever) so I thought I had my car back until yesterday when it started showing the same symptoms as before. Today, same situation. It's bogging under hard acceleration and surges bad threw 2nd and 4th gear when i get on it. What do I need to do? I know that one of my cats is cracked pretty bad because of a rock that i ran over a few months ago. Been putting off replacing it because i'm trying to buy a TD set up. Would this have anything to do with it? Could i have already ruined my brand new 02 sensors and wasted 350.00? Do i need to get my car tuned and it will go away? I need some help on this one guys.

Mods include:
Jet hot LT's magnaflow cats (both are pretty new but drivers side cracked from rock) custom 3" y-pipe from local shop that is a big 'ol POS, back into a loudmouth. high flow lid, holley filter, Zo6 clutch & flywheel and a few other misc bolt ons.
The problem orriginated from the highflow jet hot cats that I installed when i put the headers on.

I'm trying to buy a TD set up from a guy so I might just rip the whole thing out from the cats back and start new.

Could i have already ruined my new 02's though? They've been in there for a week.

If i were you i would just get stock cats.. Your not gaining much if anything with the ones you have now and it sounds like they are flowing to much and ******* up your 02's causing your car to run in limp mode witch basiclly runs like **** causing the bogging because your air fuel is all messed up because of the 02s.. wich are being messed up by your cats.

Are you throwing any SES codes besides the 02's?

Ya, any SES light? Sounds like a problem that has nothing to do with the cats or exhaust. Sounds like a cam/crank sensor or grounding issue.

The rear O2's have no effect at all on how the car runs. The fronts aren't affected by the cats, because they are upstream of them.

I agree with the above posts, sounds like a different problem. Your front O2 wires aren't touching any of the exhaust components are they? Codes?

I've been throwing an SES light since I took my egr off the car when i put the headers on. From what others are telling me, I should have gotten a tune after the header install but I didnt nd thats when this all started.

So could this be because I never got a tune after I installed the LT's? Like I said, thats when it all started.

you need to find out what the codes are that are setting the ses light.Until then you will not know anything.Could anything from a mass air sensor to a ground issue to a broken wire somewhere.Dont do anything until you find out what the codes are.

You could have multiple codes going on at the same time. Get autozone to scan it (for free) and write down the actual CODE NUMBERS (p0234 etc.) Running LT's untuned usually doesn't cause the O2's to crap out, but every car is different. I'd suggest you go with some Bosch 13111's, they have cured lots of people's problems.

Getting a tune, and getting the emissions codes deleted would be a good idea.

Here's the Bosch's for cheap.

If it keeps throwing codes off....simple fixer....02sims. I run w/o cats and in order to keep from throwing codes off....i use o2 sims. Fixed my problem...maybe it will do you justice too.
