I didn't, but I've been thinking about doing this. I have two exhausts; the one on my car and a loudmouth sitting in the back of my parents house. So I have two over the axle setups. The only thing I'd have to fab up is the connection to the y-pipe and the exits. I still have a CME setup sitting around, so I'd like to do that.

i made mine in my driveway with a Summit Xpipe kit.

took some patience and tweaking to get the pipes to mate up to the flowtech collectors, and clear the frame.

i then just took it over to the shop and had them weld it up.

granted it's not perfect...but that's due to rushing the job...i was 3 days away from getting hit by a cat 4 hurricane.

My true duals are almost like the pics above but they are just 2 straight pipes off the headers into the borlas.

Making your own exhaust is easy if you have the right selection of mandrel bends, a welder and a little patience/creativity. I built my duals and made some for a couple local guys as well......did all of them in my garage on jackstands.

i made my own with a wire fed welder..lincoln weld pack... it takes ALOT of patience... the satisfaction of doing it yourself is about all i got from it.. i wanted really good ground clearance and i got it... i am 100% certain someone else could do alot better job.. but hey it was cheap and fun and i learned alot about welding and getting welding burns... jack stands and welders dont work!! jut measure twice and cut once... its hard to get everything fabbed up just right especially on the driver side header because it kinda turns outward abit.

all in all the job was a learning experience but next time ill take it to a pro!!

Making good quality True Duals is tough. You need access to a lift, exhaust hangers/holder, welders, diff sizes and shapes of MANDREL piping, lots of patience and trial and error, the TIME to do it all clean. There's a reason why off-the-shelf TD kits are expensive!
