Default Holley 90mm throttle body vs. UMI/TPIS throtle body

Does anyone know of differences in performance between the Holley 90mm throttle body and the UMI and TPIS drive by cable 90mm throttle bodies? Is the UMI and TPIS throttle bodies just more expensive because of the name behind it? Thanks for any info.

I had the Holley one and it was absolutley awesome. The machining that went into it was incredible. And it's very affordable.

I hope it is good. I am having 1 installed in about a week or so along with the fast intake. Good to hear positive feedback on it.

I was getting ready to buy the Nick Williams, I have always heard it was the best. Are you guys saying that the Holley and/or the UMI are better???

Does the Holley bolt up to a standard LS1/LS6 intake? It looks like a real nice TB.

The 80 mm version may, but the 90 mm version only has a 4 bolt flange, no provision for the top bolt.

Unfortunately the 80mm is also a 4 bolt. It only fits LS2 or FAST intakes.

Crap -- it's a nice looking piece and the price is nice as well!

This thread is pointless. A 90mm TB is a 90mm TB just like a Lid is a Lid. 90mm opening is just that, 90mm regardless who makes it. Personally I would pick based on looks and track record. As longs as they work like they should they will all flow the same and make the same power. If someone tells you that their 90mm TB will make more than the next guy's they are full of ****

I think the thread is geared more twards the quality of the TBs from different manufacturers. I think its fairly obvious a 90mm opening is the same as another 90mm opening...
