something like that but wayyyyy cheaper and for a 98 and up. i'd rather not pay $300 for a new airbox <img src="images/icons/smile.gif" border="0">

Those setups do not work better than any of the current airbox lids out there. So, just buy the lids for $99-$150 and be done with it.

PS, a K&N filter makes no additional power on a nearly stock LS1. Might show some gains past 350 rwhp vs a Fram though.

ttt.. the stock style lid won't work with my hood.

thats the hood, its identical to the WS6 hood in the way it functions and im almost 100% positive the hood won't close with my whisper lid. i need the open filter type lid so it will be right under the nostrils.

Ah man ! I just ordered this hood and didn't know the lid had to be changed !! <img src="images/icons/smile.gif" border="0">

Oh well, going lid shopping again I guess.

I have been wanting to order that hood also.Is it neccisary to change lids?I have the clear MTI lid.If I get that hood can I still keep my lid?
