Starter bolt question
Thanks
John
That black plastic piece costs about $3 at the Chevy dealership. So if push comes to shove, they can order you a new one. They did for me.
I found that if I'd have backed the tranny off about 1/16" without removing the starter, I would have been able to get a socket on that bolt and then pull it. But me, I used primal instinct on removal of that bolt. Bust the plastic plate, put the socket on.

That sounds like me. I ended up tapping the socket on with a hammer. Loosing up the transmission bolt sounds like a good idea. I will try that when I re-install the starter.
Thanks
