Guys, we are doing an install on the Grotyohann Long Tube Headers on a 98 WS6 and I'd like to know if we can get around disconnecting the motor mount on the driver's side?

Remove the oil filter and drain plug. You are going to have to get the header almost perpendicular to the ground and just wiggle it in place. It will fit without jacking the motor up.

Jason, thanks for the advise....we did manage to remove the oil filter...but I really didn't see that the plug was much in the way.
We were trying to get away with not removing the plug...but if it's necessary....then so be it...damn!
I'll check in from time to time to see if any further input gets updated...
Thanks Jason.

Drain plug shouldn't interfere... it didn't on my 99 Z. However I did have to jack up the motor.

done it by just getting the car as far off the ground as possible, and getting the header in an almost vertical position, like Jason said, very perpendicular to the ground

I have put grots on Two LS1 cars now and both of them I took the oil filter and drain plug out and the header just slid right in, without jacking up the motor.

Yup. What they said. The drain plug will give you an estimate what angle the header should go in. If the plug is not in your way, you have not reached that angle yet.
