Default Finally Conclusive proof the FIPK doesn’t work.

At the GM North vs. South shootout I had an opportunity to race a car that FIPK system. I have a traditional lid/FRA setup. Both cars had slicks, a stall, and were racing at the same time so all weather conditions and everything like that was identical. I knew this would be a great opportunity to put the FIPK myth to rest all along, so I gave it my all as I lined up against this guy.

I ran 11.4/118 with the lid/FRA setup and the other guy ran 13.3@106 with the FIPK setup. Finally we have conclusive proof that the lid setup is better.

Unless you are measuring performance gains on the same vehicle, you did not prove anything. Except that Lid/FRA; Heads; Cam; etc. beats a FIPK bolt-On car...

It was proven long ago that measuring gains on the same test vehicles that a lid/FRA set up exceeds FIPK/ Volant etc. anyway. Hell, Tony Whatley proved it on trucks tested at MTI.

Ok for everyone who is taking Terry serious, go read the other thread about FIPK vs. Lid.

Terry is JOKING! He's not being serious. I'm still pretty interested in seeing track gains/loses with the FIPK. I'm in the lid/FRA set up.

Are all the people that are taking this thread seriously the ones that bought the FIPK?

I refuse to believe this is a joke. I want my 11 second "magic" lid dammit.
Actually, as someone who still has the stock airbox/filter, the only other mod I planning on doing to my car in the near term is freeing up the intake in some way, so I am interested in how this plays out. I am not overly concerned about the cost as the only thing I want to do to the car is 1. Free up the exhaust a bit, got the GMMG (check mark) 2. Tighten up the suspension, BMR subframes (check mark) 3. Need something better than the stock airbox, is the FIPK the goods or???, I'm in a holding pattern, but this 11 second "magic" invention sounds worth considering
