Default egr and air removal.....

alright, besides the block off plates, what is needed to seal up that system after removal? like what size freeze plug/expansion plug goes into the intake manifold? is there anything else needed? thanks.

You'll also need some custom tuning to get rid of the SES light.

The AIR setup is just a set of hoses that run around the back of the motor to a small electric motor that is down underneath where the fuses are. There is nothing to plug in the back. The AIR pump is 5-10 lbs and is held in by 10mm nuts.

EGR is pretty obvious.

I am getting ls1-edit, so codes aren't a big deal. i just need to know what size plug to get for plugging up the intake egr hole. thanks.

Is it possible to just remove the hoses and check valves and block off the header to air flanges and not get a SES light by leaving the pump plugged in?

i just went to the autoparts store and bought an expansion plug or whatever. one of those things that you put in the hole, then tighten the nut, and as you do that the rubber plug gets wider from being compressed. works great and no problems. costed $2.99 and no other work needed.

Wizkid, No I dont think that will work.

Z28kid, I did this to my car. I used 3/16 steel to make plates for the egr and air tubes on the headers. I paid $1 for the metal and cut them out myself vs. paying 30-40 for the plates from thunder or pace. For the hole in the intake...I used a plastic cap out of a ZZ4 crate motor exhaust port (from when it was shipped) and then I cut out a thin piece of sheet metal to go over that. I think it was 16 gauge sheet metal. Its all pretty easy to do, just takes a little time. Hope this helps.
