Default Friendly reminder... check that belt!
Last week I noticed my engine compartment looked a little dirtier than normal but figured it was due to beating on it/excess pollen etc. Well a week later I discovered my serpentine belt had moved out a few ribs and was on the verge of getting shrededi & flying off! It only had 4k miles but I guess it doesn't help when I rev it to 6500 alot....

Take this as a friendly reminder to check those belts!

If you have the stock spring loaded tensioner, that's why your wearing belts. Get you a Katech solid tensioner and be done with, if you have about $130 to spend.

same thing happened to me. looked at the belt and it seemed like it was about to fly right off. everytime i fix it it seems to move again.

I did my first ever road race last week and after seven 20 minute sessions almost had the belt completely off the ribs. Check often, expecially if pulling high RPM sessions!
