Just installed ported fast and the idle is all screwed up
Hey guys, i just installed my ported fast and like it says the idle is messed up. It will idle around 1100 rpm's until i start driving. When i press the clutch in between gear changes it will jump up to 2500 rpm's. The only way to get it to die back down is press on the brake and let the clutch out at the same time and bog the car. Going down the road i dont even have to give it gas it will pull itself and i have to ride the brake. Does anyone know what this might be? I dont think i have a pinched vacuum line but if i have to take it back off i will. Do you think i need to have it retuned to get the most out of it? The only other thing i did was install a piece of smooth tubing where my factory belows went. Anyway thanks guys for your help. Charles

check the voltage of the blue wire on bottom plugin on the throttle body. Around .6v will give you a stock idle.
You HAVE to do the idle relearn procedure everytime you mess with the screw. Also, this may be your only problem since you havn't done the idle relearn yet, so try it.
1.Unplug the bottom sensor on the throttle body
2. turn the key to the on position but don't start the car
3.Wait 30 seconds.
4. turn the key to off
5. plug the bottom sensor back in
6. start the car

Hey guys thanks for the help. let me answer a few questions.
- it is not brand new, i've had it on for awhile and decided to have it ported since Vengeance was running that special.
- The car was running great before i took it off as far as the idle goes.
- the car is an m6
now if i dont have a scanmaster can i use my old predator as a scan tool? what am i looking for when i do this? What could happen if i do this and dont use a scanmaster?Anyway thanks guys Charles
