It won't leak as long as it is torqued properly, its a 3 piece design with a rubber gasket sealing the three pieces. Its not like the LS1, LS6 or LS2 intakes which are fused together.

I believe it's like 88 inch lbs... They won't leak if you're just removing the upper shell.. I did a lil more porting & took out the center section which made things easier... If you do that, then you have to reseal it with some black sealer or they will possibly leak.

well its not a kit unfortunatly.I went to the fast website and under the parts list and gathered up all the different bolts that i needed then simply went to mcmaster and ordered them up.I am pretty sure thunder sells a kit that you may want to check out but i am pretty sure it didnt include everything i was looking for like the bolts and nuts that hold the two halves together.I got everything in stainless from the nuts, bolts and washers. If my car wasnt in a storage facility i would take pics for ya,it looks great and will stay that way.

Hey, around the fuel injector holes there are a bunch of sharp edges and angles, would it do any good to radius them of so that the FI area is smoother and might get the spray out better? Also I ground down just inside the intake where the TB bolts on. Any more specific grinding info would be a ppreciated.

around the fuel injector holes is pretty much a dead spot,so grinding and smoothing in this area wont do anything for you,and the injectors spray pattern wont be affected either so i would just leave it alone. The throttle body opening can take just a little blending where the two halves meet together, some intakes dont line up as good as others..I opened mine up just a touch to match my Nick williams throttle body..Dont over do it.
