I have to bring up this old thread. it's a great write-up

I wasn't planning on porting my fast but if it really is true that shaving out those wedges and straightening the runner will add anywhere from 10-20hp. It's almost too good to be true. How many other people have dyno numbers to prove this to be true???

I plan to give this a go anyway but I would like to see some other numbers just for curiosity sake.

That's BASICALLY it...but it takes a steady hand a good eye to get all the ports even. It's definately easy to ruin one of these manifolds or hurt the airflow and/or velocity if you don't know what you're doing.

According to what I've researched you can actually take the bottom shell off and do some extensive porting but I don't know what it consists of. That, and of course port matching is very beneficial from what I've read.

I just ported my fast and it was time consuming but very easy. I simply used a drimmel to take the wedge out and then used sand paper to fine tune it. It's obviously not 100% professionally done but the ending result looks exactly the same as the pictures in the first post.

Any pictures of what exactly people are doing to the TB openings? Or does anyone have pictures of what Tony Mamo does? Not trying to steal their work. Just curious..

i've had two Mamo-ported FAST's since the last time i posted in this thread. you will most likely never duplicate his work without some type of CNC machine...it's THAT good. i didn't really take any good pics of it, but there IS a thread where Tony posted some pics of his work before/after, you'll have to search around, i can't remember the title. here's a pic of my old 92mm before it went on:

As for the TB opening, there's nothing you can do as long as your throttle body is the same size as the manifolds opening....but let's say you have a 90mm intake with a 92mm TB...then you could bolt up the TB, scribe a line around the intake mouth, remove the TB, and then blend the intakes mouth down to the line you scribed so that the transition from TB to manifold is smooth...that's pretty much it. If you want to go bigger....for example a 100mm TB on a 92mm intake....you could follow the same basic method, but will need to come up with a new gasket to seal the TB to the intake since that much porting would get into the O-ring's groove on the intake.

That's some damn sexy port work there. I wonder how a Mamofied intake compares to Vengeance's port work. Not trying to start a war just wondering.

Does anyone ever post pics of Vengeance's work?

I was thinking of just getting a Vengance racining ported one since it isn't that expensive, but I read that they dont even open the intake up to port it..They just do what the OP did..I figure I can do that myself and save a little money. I have had a Mamofied 90 before..But sold it brand new as I was switching setups. I can't justify paying that much money on a another Mamofied intake, but it is tempting because he does such good work.

I just picked up a vengeance ported 92. When I get it I am going to take it apart and check all the seals and see how extensively it's ported.

The seals should be intact as Vengeance does not take the manifolds apart.
If you just bought a Fast 92..Why did you sell me your PTM 92? lol

I port matched my own used FAST 92 that was already ported from Vengeance. Everything was nice and straight but it wasn't even close to matching up to my heads. Probably 3/16" overhand on half the ports. I spend two days really taking my time scribing lines and removing material, plus I ground off all the casting bumps. Then I sanded everything down to 800 grit. Maybe overkill but it looked great when I was done. I just personally wouldn't pay that kind of cash to have someone port an already overpriced intake.
