That's just the top layer right? I really wouldn't worry about it and just smooth it out the best your can. I wouldn't patch it with anything for fear of it coming loose later, then your fucked.

I would weld it or have it welded before I would try any epoxy on it.

Nope, can't plastic weld a FAST intake. Where are you going to find the proper welding rod? The welding rod must be the same material as the material you are attempting to weld. Good luck finding a welding rod thats the same material as a FAST intake...

JB weld will fix that no problem..Just make sure the surface is real clean before applying and it should be ok.

What size rolls are you guys using, what length shanks, and where are you getting them? Stone or sand rolls? What grit? I've got an air die gringer and a 26gal compressor.

My 78 is "stock-stock." Hasn't had **** done to it. It looks like the top shell hasn't even been taken off.... ever. I'm not wanting to get crazy, just take out the little pastic ridge like in the first pic in the thread.... any other ideas for the FAST 78?

Even though he points it out that is a big *** motor w/ a pretty stout top end. Though in the end 12 hp gain is a 12 hp gain.
