Fast 90/90 Combo on a 01 z06.... Problems.
So today, me and my buddy put the wilson Fast 90 intake and ls2 90mm tb on his 01 z06. Install went easy, pretty much no problems. Cars starts and idles fine. When we took it on the first ride though when the car got around 3500 rpm and up the car would hesitate and run like crap. We tried a couple of times, and it just seems like its mis firing or something. No check engines light on at all, no misfires, all injectors are hooked up, and have been double checked, wires are all on, were kinda stumped. The car runs great, and pulls hard up to around 3500 maybe 4000 in some gears, but then it hesitates badly. ANyone experience this or know what it could be from? car ran perfect before this.
Ps 2 things we did. 1 we cleaned his k&n filter, and re oiled it. It dried in the sun for a long time, 3+ hours and looked perfect but could some oil be getting on the maf or something causeing the problem?
Other thing that we had to do, i dont think it will affect performance, but with the ls2 90 mm tb we had to mount it rotated 180*.... Meaning the side with the harness since the car is fly by wireis now on the passanger side, the reason we had to do this was it was hitting the power stering fluid resevior if it wasn't like this. Bolts line up perfect, harness still reaches. I dont think this would be a problem, but also normally the top part of the blade in the tb goes back, and now since we rotated it 180* the top part goes forward, and the bottom goes back.
Like i said idle is good, car runs good till around 3500 maybe 4000, then hesitates, and input would be much appreciated. Ps the car is going in for a dyno tune on monday, unless this is something major that needs to be fixed the car gets on the dyno. Hopefully maybe the car needs to just learn the bigger intake mani, tb, and then tuned and it will run great? Thanks, Chris

lol thought i was the only one...dude u have to mount the ls2 tb in the vette like that its the only way it will go in. but yeah give the car some time to warm up mine does the same thing and i got the exact same setup as u on a 2002 z06. i thought it was my cam but it isnt could be a faulty/sticky throttle blade? either way when my vette warms up it goes away. if anyone out there has any other advise please let us know. btw could also be faulty ls2-ls1 tb adapter harness?

Its funny you said that. He took it on a ride to our buddy thats a gm tech's house, like 30 minutes away, Gets there, babied it there the whole way, takes him for a ride and he said it pulled so hard. He cant get it to do it anymore. We will see if the problem comes back when the car cools down. I wonder why it does that when its cold, never used to. Anyways he seems to think it definatly pulls harder, so another fast 90/90 happy customer. Thanks for the quick reply.
Thanks, Chris
