Default idk whats up... help

Ok, so over the past 4 days, I installed hooker LT's, ORY, LM1 exaust. I deleted the EGR, and the Air system, Used O2 sims, and got new plugs and wires, as well as doing a TB bypass. Having said that the car sounds like an absolute monster, however there are alot of problems. First off, the engine temp guage doesnt move, it stays on minimum the whole time, because of that ( i think) the fan is always running because the computer isnt picking up the engine temp. Also, my car always fires right up, but after shutting my car off and turning it on again 3 or 4 times (within about ten minuts) it barley started, like it took me 20 seconds, and just the right amount of throttle to get it goin. On the road it sounds great but what i whack the pedal, its dead. I have no idea whats up, any suggestions?

It also seems like its running rich my frends claim they smelled gas, and the maf is infact plugged in so thats not it

you need a tune.. the O2's have been pushed back a little your car is trying to figure out whats going on with it...

about your water temp sensor.. did you melt a wire or pinch it somewhere?

are you using stock front O2's with extensions or the Bosch 13111 corvette rears?

stock o2's with extensions. I think that because the engine cant read a temperature (probably a wire, one in which idk ware it is) the fan is always running, and it throws more fuel into the motor so it wont lean out and make it even hotter. Because the fan runs alot, i have a feeling its draining the battery, like, even when the car is off it runs. Maybe its just all because of one messed up wire/plug.... where is the engine temp plug located

Take a good look at your ECT sensor/wiring - it's the sensor just forward of #1 in the head. If it's not connected or got broken during the header install it'll cause problems. Just FYI when the fans continue to run after the car is off for a few minutes it means the PCM is seeing an overtemp condition - looked it up once in helms - 284* was the trigger point if I remember correctly. Get it scanned for any codes, that'll help nail it down.

Yeah sounds like you have a grouding issue on the fans. Correct me if im wrong but doesnt the computer provide the ground to the fans not the power? If this is correct then you could have a bare wire touching the body or some piece of metal competing the circuit. What does your battery guage read when the car is off vs on? Im guessing the fact that the computer can not read the temperature of the engine, is the reason for your poor performance. Just go back through the car and check the engine temp sensor and the fan wires and check for broke or loose connections.

yhea i didnt hook up the engine temp wire, I remembered it as i was coming home (in another car). But it still doesnt feel crisp and responsive like i would think it should, it actually feels slower, i guess i need to get everything that i took off tuned out, and get a good tune on it.

Wouldn't hurt to try resetting the PCM.

Well get the O2's programmed out while your getting the EGR done then sell the O2 sims. I removed my EGR and O2s and I am not having any issues.
