Default LS6 intake

I have 99TA and i installed a autometer oil gauge sender in place of the stock sender. The problem is that autometer is to wide and my intake wont sit properly. I have tried asking on the electronics forum but had no luck.Does anybody have any suggestions? thanks

IIRC there's a place to tap down near the oil filter. I'm not necessarily saying put the sender right here, but perhaps some short length braided AN line off the aforementioned fitting and mount the sensor someplace else. I had a link saved a while back but can't seem to find it I'll see what I can come up with.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean, but I'll assume you mean to ask if you still need a sensor in the stock location, be it stock or other? My answer is I have no idea. If you're asking if the sensor attached to the location I mentioned has to be mechanical, I don't really see a reason why it HAS to be mechanical, since you could just run to the sensor like normal, only difference is there's a length of braided line in between. If I'm off the mark let me know, thanks.

I don't see why not, though it's been years since I had my elec oil pressure autometer on my old car, but that was just a big cylindrical sensor right? Whether it's behind the intake or down there I'm not sure that it makes a difference, but I could be wrong.

here are a few threads I dug up:

HTH.
