Hey, does anyone know what ever happened to Meziere releasing the "street" version of their electric Water Pump? It was supposed to be out in January, then Springs, now its Summer and I have yet to hear about it comming out.

Last I heard JPR has the patents and rights to all street driven elec water pumps for the LS1. That's probably why you don't see the meziere street elec pump, or ever will. I gathered that much from the last post about JPR's water pump unless I misinterpreted.

I called Meziere about every 2 weeks for a couple of months and every time I was told the design is done and it just needs some test done and it will be ready in 2 weeks. That was back in January and February.

I wish Meziere would get on the ball and release this thing.....I'm driving around out here in this 105+ degree Summer heat....hell...I drove around all day without the AC on and still could not keep the engine below 200 degrees...couple that with the 11.1:1 CR and its killing me....

Chris, if you want your engine to cool down a bit, go here:

http://www.azfba.com/messageboard/in...;threadid=1018

A bunch of us are going to pick up an SLP radiator for $200 each. That might be your best bet.

Before any more rumors or conjecture take place, I will tell you the new LS1 Meziere street pump is done. The first installations are on Monday. We have about a weeks time to convert from engineering lab to production. If you are a baggage handler for Southwest Airlines you can see it today. I am leaving San Diego with them at 6 PM The wait is over. I am taking them to put them on the dyno, write the installation instructions, get a few photos... maybe drive over to the track...and have a blast!!

A quick note to who ever thinks a patent has held up the work on this pump: We have never been approched or expect to be approched by any one saying they have a patent on this pump or any of our other designs. We have worked with GM and GM race teams on the LS1 (WP119)electric water pumps since before the LS1 was in a Firebird. The story I have heard about a patent on an LS1 pump had to do with two individuals that worked together on a pump project and then split up. After the split up one of them was trying to protect his intelectual property rights as the designer of "their" project. This in no way affects Meziere or slowed the production of the WP319 Meziere pump. Our own testing and work with aftermarket manufactures caused the redesign that delayed the pump. We were not going to hurry this part to market. When you see this... you will know it was worth the wait. Thanks

I wasn't even going to bother comming in to this post, but after my phones have rang off the wall from 12:00 pm, you have some facts wrong.

"A quick note to who ever thinks a patent has held up the work on this pump: We have never been approched or expect to be approched by any one saying they have a patent on this pump or any of our other designs."

BS, you or one of your project managers were told by Tom McKegney from JPR Inc at the SEMA show in NV.

"We have worked with GM and GM race teams on the LS1 (WP119)electric water pumps since before the LS1 was in a Firebird. The story I have heard about a patent on an LS1 pump had to do with two individuals that worked together on a pump project and then split up."

The "split up" has nothing to do with Our provisional pat pending application under our Companies name.

As for your internal circuitry, as long as it dosen't conflict with ours, your fine, I will be first on your list to buy one to check it out for ourselfs since we are not privi to your patenenting work as you aren't to ours for the next 3 months.

Any provisional pricing at this time?

For quite some time now I have heard "the pump is only weeks away from being available". Well, it's been almost a year since I first found out and over 6 months since Meziere claimed to be in the final testing stage. Some people have been following this longer than that. I would really like one, but I guess I will have to wait a little longer.

I talked to Meziere on Friday and their testing is going on next week with the street version and they should be shipping anodized versions within 4-6 weeks pending the driveability tests. They will be putting 1-2 on cars that see a lot of street time - That's good news as far as we are concerned...

Shut up Terry. What you are saying is not completely accurate as usual. A lot of people have had LS1 pumps for awhile but none were the complete street version.
