its cool, and headers arent neccisarily that bad on ground clearance. as long as you dont go with slp, there are at least 1 billion, 3hundred eighty seven thousand threads on headers and ground clearance so search that up some.

look for some 243 heads or used Patriots and a used cam.. all can be had and installed for under 1k if you do the work. The 243 heads would be best. Just look for someone selling oem 243's. 500 max is the price you should pay for them or 600 for used Patriot heads.

I then put on a set of ET streets and ran a 12.7@108 in Bradenton Florida. It really depends on your budget and long term plans. I have since trashed the loudmouth and hypertech and upgraded substantially. But those three mods listed cost me $450 I think, and that was 4 years ago.
Biggest gain I got was on my long tube headers and a real tune with LS1Edit. However, now I believe EFI Live is the prefered tuning tool, but there are a bunch of threads on that too.
