Default Cant decide btw prothane poly motor mounts or new stockers for LS6 install

So I will be putting in a new LS6 soon, so the difficult install is not an issue. I can get the prothane poly motor mounts for $65 or I can get a new set of stock rubbers for $130. I have heard the poly gives more vibration but I don't know how much and if its worth it? The car is a daily driver with no track time, but has MAC mid length headers and Y pipe. All input is welcome.

I vote for the poly mounts. I just removed my stock rubber mounts and they were totally trashed...I could wiggle them back and forth in the clamshell about an inch. I installed the poly mounts and while there is more vibration, it should settle down as the mounts break in and loosen up a little.
Actually, I only notice the vibration at idle...anything above 1,000 rpm and there is no vibration.
They are a huge pain to install, so now is the time to do it.

Another vote for the Poly Motor Mounts. Since you'll have the engine out, this is the time to do it!

I just had a new set of kooks LT installed 2 weeks ago, along with a change from stock motor mounts to poly mounts.

I didnt even notice a difference in vibration with the poly mounts. More importantly, the poly motor mounts will help eliminate any banging from the y-pipe onto the floor board.

So how would the vibration compare to lets say a mild cam? And are you guys running poly tranny mounts too? Are you all using the prothane motor mounts?

I tried the poly tranny mount about 3 years ago, on a stock cam...I ripped it out of there after a week. The vibration was horrible!

Both solid and poly are good. The stock rubber ones are straight crap. Don't put those stockers back in there. My vote is for Poly.

I am still waiting to install my Spohn solid mounts. I don't see the point of running poly personally. Too much work for an insert I love the solid feeling.
