QTP 1/34" stainless headers for 799.00
Start debate on coated/uncoated for stainless...needed?
Will coating even STICK to SS?
and for this Y/Cat combo...big price difference. Does the difference warrant the price? Lots buy Carsound cats, must be good enough...RT's are smaller...thoughts?
LS1Y3CAT 3" Off Road Y Pipe with Carsounds Cats $500.00
LS1Y3RT713 3" Off Road Y Pipe with Random Tech Metallic 713000 Cats $850.00
Thanks, feedback appreciated.
Chris
These will be on OEM LS1 heads, TR 224 on a 114.
EDIT: Compare this against a set of 4 month used FLP headers for $800.00.
I'm putting the same cam in as you, on a 114 though.

I must have all the emmissions hook ups and cats. I must have a ceramic/thermal coating. I must have headers that fit correctly. I really don't feel like getting raped for $1300 by a header company.
I've narrowed my choices down to the following:
Jet-hots w/ catted y-pipe (if it ever becomes available)
Jet-hot coated Macs
Coated Bassani's
All three should be under $1000 (Bassani's when they are on sale), fit well, have cats and perform well. The Macs do come with a 50,000 warranty, the Jet-hots come with a three year warranty. That is all pretty good stuff.
I know with the mid-lengths I am giving up some power over the LT but my purpose isn't to wring out every last HP I can. My purpose is to have a nice running street car that can be driven anywhere, any time and is street legal. Banging pipes, burned wires or stinky, raspy exhaust is not fun to me.
