Default egr block off plate for ls1 intake

I already have the block off plates for the headers, i just need one for the intake. I always see them being sold as a kit for like 40-50 $ I just need the intake one though. ??

I was in the same boat, still am I guess, I just used the piece that was originally in there and using a rotary tool, cut off the hose, leaving two inches and just pinched it together until I can get my buddy to fab one up for me for almost nothing. Its worked so far without any problems. I dont know where to find the intake block off plate without getting the header plates as well.

there is a freeze plug you can buy from like autozone, i forget the exact diminsions or what cars it was for, way cheaper then the kits.

measure it and go to an auto parts store n tell them you need a freeze plug that size, really wish i could remeber it off the top of my head for ya.

1-3/8 or 35mm. Tap it in and a small bead of silicone for insurance. Works like a charm for less than $5.

GM also sells a EGR Plug for the Intake. PN #12558346, but a freeze plug will also work.

This is an old thread but kept pulling up when I googled it. I just got a nice custom intake EGR block plate off of Ebay. It has "LSX" & "SS" logos engraved, nice piece. Depends if you want something that looks good or just gets the job done. Mine is actually an LS6 intake with no EGR hole, so they make them for both. Search EBAY: "LS1 LSX Intake EGR Block Plate Billet Custom Hot Rod SS".
