Default Leaning towards Chamber 1 flows

As it sits i have TSP duals dumped with the dynomax bullets. Well I'm finally sick of rattling the crap out of the interior. I get a ton of compliments on the way it sounds now but I remember reading numerous posts about how running the bullets out the back sounds like complete garbage. Like an old chevy truck or something. So I've decided to change mufflers.

I'm thinking Flowmaster chamber 1's. But then again I've heard some pretty mean sounding Magnaflow setup's. What do you guys think? I would set up a poll but don't know how lol.

I switched from the dynomax bullets to single chamber flowmasters on my x-pipe setup, and i love it. It sounds just like a classic muscle car at idle, and is also quite mean sounding when you tromp on it

I'm having trouble deciding btwn those two on my future set up as well. I think the Magnas will be a little deeper but you can't go wrong with either.

Ive got the dynomax bullets on mine right now. Do you think it would still sound decent with the single chambers if i have no crossover pipe? I just have 2 pipes running out the back of the car with no cats.

Can't blame ya for wanting em, I love mine! Just a FYI, you'll have to mod the TSP duals to run the flows if you want any type of clearance at all.

Are the flowmasters a lot deeper than the bullets? The bullets on my car now are just loud as ****...not deep.

Nice.....do you think my duals would sound right with the flowmasters if i just have straight pipes? I have no cats or crossover pipe.

There's no reason not to have an X or H pipe, they are very easy to add, and help balance the exhaust as well as add scavenging. I would never do a true dual setup without one of the mid pipes. I prefer the X myself.

Depends on the labor your charged and the cost of the items. A good estimate of an x pipe is 50 bucks. The flows will run you around 75 bucks a pop, and yes, they are also called 10 series.

I'm going with the same set-up, the X-pipe is $50.00, mufflers $75.00ea, and the shop doing the work is charging me $300.00 to go over the axle. After hearing you car and the link I posted, I think this by far the best sound. I'm doing mine just like the link below, thanks again for the pics

It's cool man, I don't care. lol better than starting a new thread for the same damn thing... I see too much of that anyways.

But I do have a question for BriancWS6. How did you modify your TSP duals, do you have pics? I was just thinking about taking the bullets out and either putting the mufflers there and running two pipes out the back or taking the bullets out and running pipe to the back and having the mufflers on either side of the gas tank. There are two spaces in there that would almost perfectly fit two mufflers this size. Only thing is that they would be vertical rather than horizontal and I don't know how that would affect them. Thanks

Wouldn't hurt them a bit, there's a few guys on here running a setup like that. Sound clips in sig BTW.
