It feels betters alot smoother through the powerband, and wants to pull more, also thorttle response picked up. Never been to the track with my car yet so I cant give you hard numbers, but I bet I gained tenth or 2, seems like my gas mileage might have picked up slightly also.

This is kinda off subject but when I had the TB off it looked like it may have been Ported, how can I tell offically if it has been, I know the bump stop is gone off it also, so im guessing the owner before me did it, any other tell tail signs to tell?

the "optional" LS6 valley cover is to convert from the LS1 PCV style to the more efficent LS6 PCV style,,it also cleans up the engine bay a tad. I bought mine brand new from my local dealership for 90 bux

the coolant lines are a toss up,,lots of folks just cut the ridges on the bottom of their new intake , while others will get the LS6 style tubes. Difference is the LS6 only goes to the front two, the back two are blocked off. The LS1 coolant tube system will deliver coolant to all 4 locations.

I bought and installed the SLP LS6, no EGR, and i used the coolant tubes that came with it (LS6) I have had no issues what so ever with coolant, #7, etc.

I just cut mine... Then made one that conected the back two, brazed, and sealed off the one that was in the front.

well just got done with my install today. Wasnt too bad, took me about 2 1/2 hours of taking my time! I made sure i didnt break that oil pressure sensor. Everything went kinda smooth and now i just have to program my PCM to get the SES light off.

I cant say yet if i felt a difference because i just literally got done with it at work and drove it straight home. Hopefully i could get some dyno or track runs here soon!

I have a friend that wants me to help him with an LS6 intake swap. He has a similar Heads/cam setup to mine along with bolt ons. Is he going to need a Re-tune after the LS6 intake or should it be ok? I have seen that the flow numbers are pretty different between the two.

Isnt too bad really. Depending on what else you removed, most of the brackets stay off.

2000 and below is an LS1 manifold. Unless the person who owned it before was kind enough to upgrade it for you.

He doesn't live in Aiken. He moved to Hilton Head a while ago. I think he is running patriot heads and ~230 duration cam. I haven't talked to him in a couple months.
