Default FTRA guys, come in

ok i just started puting my FTRA on my car, i cut the bottom air tray out like it says left the 5/8th for the filter,, but when i i was taking my air deflector i broke the bottom half on teh passenger side..

my question is do i really need to put the air reflector back in, or can i just continue installing it.

thanks

you definatly need the air deflector, that's what shunts air up into the radiator when the car is moving. cutting that out will prob make you over heat in a hurry, espy at speed.

glue it, tape it, ****** staple it together if you have to until you can get a replacement, but don't run without it

Get it fixed or replaced; too many people before you have tried and end up with overheating issues.

We recommend you leave the plastic deflector in place. It channels air to the radiator and also into the FTRA.

what piece are you talking about...the bottom air deflector about 6in wide or the two pieces that mate together under the radiator support...

Yes, I was referring to the long air dam under the car.

Yep. The leg you broke off just helps secure it to the car. The bolts in the center and the one remaining leg should hold it on just fine.
