Default two more cutouts

hey guys i just bought two new DMH cutouts today and had two questions. Im putting them on the y pipe right after the headers and i wanted to know about how much horsepower ill gain over having them closed. ive heard everything from 5hp all the way to 60hp. (i know its not that much, i was thinking like 5-10hp). And my second question is how loud will it be? Its already loud as **** with the cutout after the cats. Everyone is telling me its going to be a lot louder than that and i have a hard time believing that. I know itll be louder, but its really loud as is and i cant imagine it being THAT much louder. Tell me what you guys think.

Besides your ORY w/ LTs mentioned in your sig, what muffler or CB do u have?
That might help us give u an opinion...

Actually i dont have the ORY anymore i needed cats to pass emissions. Now i have the texas speed catted Y. But other than the hooker LTs and the Texas Speed Y, the rest of the exhaust is stock so i can control the loudness when i drive.

Default DMH's

I picked only 5-6 hp and 8tq to the wheels, so dont look for much.
i use mine mostly for sound,

its a lot louder than just one cutout, its "basically" open headers so i am sure you get the point!

anyways heres mine from a earlier post.

I would put them before the cats if possible for zero restriction and a true open header sound.

Hey guys thanks for the feedback thus far, i may have gotten myself into trouble though. Does anybody else have my setup that has put the cutouts before the Cats? This is my exhaust-Hooker LTs-Texas Speed Catted y-the rest is stock, will i have enough room to mount the cutouts? I bought the low profile ones from DMH so i assumed id have room, What do you guys think?

I see that you are lowered, so two cutouts that far upstream in your exaust will definately hang low. I would return one of them, and just install a single one in that "sweet spot" underneath the rear passenger seat. I run sportlines, and my cutout hangs no lower than my intermidiate pipe.
