I haven't heard much about FT stuff, but I have an SLP lid that came in their Flow pack, and it rubs my hood a little... ... I have my hood clear coated on the underside and it was quite a nice surprise to find that...

slp is great for horsepower apps up to 400-425, but if you are planning big cam and heads them the fast toys gives you alot of options for growth, it just depends on what you have planned, realistic plans

well in the long run I hope to have a medium aggressive cam with maybe some Trickflow heads. But for now I just need a good replacement lid and buying a stock one just seems dumb. I guess the rubbing is ok... but I know the fast toys requires an adapter they make to use it with a stock MAF... Im kinda leaning SLP but does anyone know the improvements you would get by using the FT with a stock MAF?

fast toys is gonna pull a little more air on a mild modded car than the slp, but i would not buy it unless i was planning on going big with big intake/t-body combo and a larger MAF

alright so Ive decided to get the ram air kit with whatever I get as well. I like the sound of the fast toys one simply because they include the block off plate for bad weather. Is water getting in ever a problem at all with the SLP flowpac?

i dd my car with the flowpac and dont have issues. i think the ft stuff is nice though. i have no fitment issues with my slp. either way they are good options. if you outgrow the stock size stuff ft has some larger options you may wnt in the future.

Fast Toy's says that they don't rub but they do!! my hood was in perfect shape and now everytime i open it i see that its rubbing off my clear and looks like ****!!! i have a ome SS hood we'll see what FTP has to say about this!!!

If you read our catalog entry we actually do say that SS hood owners may experience rubbing. What we suggest is to either put a piece of foam in the spot where the lid touches the hood or you can email us for pictures of how to modify the air lid to bring it slighly lower on the base. The modification is at your own risk though as it involves sanding the base of the lid to drop it down.

Pics for the mod can be obtained by emailing us at sales@fasttoys.net

I just ordered the FloPac from Maryland Speed and SLP said they are shipping out redisigned lids with the FloPac so I'll post up if I have any problems but so far it seems to be working out great. I was gonna get the FTRA but decided on the FloPac... Just seemed like more bang for the buck ya know.
