LS6 Intake prep...
When I swapped mine, I also had to take a hammer & tap the stock coolant lines down slightly...which wasn't a big deal.
In other words, I made sure that the intake was able to sit down on the heads nice and flush, before bolting it down. That way there was no un-needed pressure (from the underside of intake manifold) from using the intake bolts to draw it down and force the coolant lines down.

Make sure to get some clothes-pins (I used 4). You will not be able to completly remove the last 2 bolts on both sides of the intake. The clothes-pins will come in handy for holding the intake bolts out of the way when removing and installing the intake.

FWIW, I used a small air powered angle grinder and ground all of the ribs off, just to make sure there was no issue with them (the ribs), beforehand.

if i where you i would buy an OPS unit ahead of time. i was very careful and still broke it. i have 100+k on the clock and it was brittle. you can always take it back if you dont need it. i also replaced the air and egr gaskets when i put the block offs on.
Ok, I am drawing a blank on the OPS... But the intake I purchased comes with the rails, injectors, coolant lines, vacuum boost and fuel lines. Can I just use all of the rails and lines from the LS6 or would it just be easier to use my stuff (except injectors)?
Ah!!! Oil pressure sensor... Got it. Is it really that easy to break when taking of the intake? Are you supposed to reach under and unhook the connection before pulling the intake or what?
if you are doint this alone chances are its going to break. if you have abuddy guide the vaccum line very gently around it you may be ok. its a tall black plastic thing with a connector on top. and when i did mine i just left the fuel lines connected to the stock fuel rails and dropped them back in. if you use different rails you need a tool to get the fuel lines off and back on.
You can get a fuel line dissconnect from just about any parts store. Im not positive but i think its 5/16 piece of plastic. If you unhook the vaccum line from the brake booster you can lift the line over the OPS.
I was just on LS1Howto.com and it says that it is a 3/8" fuel line disconnect tool. It will be easier for me to just disconnect it then switch injectors and rails. Other than that I am most likely going to use the stock coolant lines but thats it, the LS6 intake will come with everything else.
Here's a picture of the "OPS" that I stole from another thread. It's got the green connector on top. Tons of info and pictures on this procedure can be found by doing a quick a search. No need to unclip the connector. Just remove the big vacuum hose (red arrow from the other pic) from the brake booster and leave it attached to the intake manifold. Take your time and don't pull hard. I went an extra step and removed the plastic cowling pieces under the wiper arms. It doesn't have to be taken off, but gives you an extra few inches to see and put your hands.
