Default Need help with ls6 intake???

I just bought an ls6 intake off of a guy on here and he told me what to get but i cant remember what it is. I think he said it was a coolant block off line or something to that effect. I was wondering where i could buy it and what the part number is. I went to the chevy dealership today and the guy there didnt know what it was. So if any of you guys know please let me know. Thank you

You can grind the ribs down on your LS6 intake instead of wasting $50.00

Yes, the ridges on the bottom of the intake is what you will need to grind down if you do not want to buy the new coolant lines.

ok so if i grind them off then i dont have to buy those new lines and i could just keep those stock lines running through the valley right? or do i have to cut and crimp the stock ones?

If you grind your LS6 intake then you don't need new coolant lines or need to modify your old ones.

I took all the ridges off with a sharp chisel and hammer. Was MUCH quicker than using a grinder, at least for me. Just take your time. My intake was brand new, I had to pause for a sec before I started chiseling away.

be very careful with the Oil Sending Unit when you remove & replace it.. Also search on the intake threads and it's recommended if you're doing the install to put some rtv sealant around the KS(s) to avoid them shortening out..

One of mine shorted out the next day since it rained and now my SES light is on.. waiting to get them shipped now and I'm out of pocket another $105
