problem with car cutting out in 5th an 6th gear i have a 99z28 m6 with 50,000 miles an when i go throught tha gears its fine till i get to 5th an 6th gear it. when i get it in fith it acts like its hitting a rev limiter but worse it jerks really hard like tha fuels cuttin out or sumthin so i put it in 6th at like half throttle an tha same thing happens, what in tha hell could it be, its completely stock

Did the car originally come with H rated tires? If this is the case then the speed limiter is set to 118.
Sounds just like your hitting the limit and the engine is shutting down at that point.

not sure not exactly sure what tires it came with stock i bought tha car with aftermarket wheelz an tires but i can tell you that it doesn't have power locks, power windows or any anthing power its a base model z28

Well this is an easy one, does it go well over 118 (or well under) before the engine cuts out?
If it always cuts out @ or near 118 MPH - then its hitting the speed limiter.
If not then its another problem.
You should be able to look at the codes on the door and tell if it came with "H" speed rated tires.
