LQ4 4.060 bore?

Ok fellas i was looking for pistons for the LQ4 i have and came across a set of Mahle 4.060 forged pistons. I have never seen this bore size, the norm is 4.030 for a 370 right?

Would the stock LQ4 block be ok bored to 4.060? With a stock stroke that would make 375 i believe.

Some people have bored them .060, it can be done.

Always go with the minumum needed... .060 I think is close to the end on a factory Iron block. I have heard they should be sonic checked before going that far.

Cool just asking because i had never seen that bore size bore on a stock block.

I'd probably go 4.010 or 4.030 just to be safe

As it will be sprayed.

4.06 is the limit. I haven't seen anyone try and go over that. If 4.06 is even considered the block needs to be sonic tested.

bringing this one back up..

My 408 developed some "issues" left me with a decision or two.

I understand the need for sonic testing when going past 4.030, my question is what is considered a minimal wall thickness for an FI application?
