Default 228/234 .588/.598 112+2 ***Will it make 400rwhp?***

I had the custom grind made for me by a local place that does a lot of LSX work. Do you guys think this cam will make 400RWHP? I can't really find anything even close to it to compare it to. What are you ideas on this grind?
Car is a 00 ls1 WS6 M6 long tubes, cutout, lid, stock MAF, 85mm throttle body, 85mm BBK SSI manifold, and a tune. I have also been told this cam will chop and sound sick, i guess more than most cams. What determines the sound of a cam and how does it play into the grind below?

i Got a 02 M6 with a comp cams .595 .595 on a 112 that puts 415 to the rear with exhaust , tune, lid and pulley.

So you should get there with a good tune

A 228/232 would be better, and if it's a comp grind get them on XE-R lobes.

G5X1 is the same cam (or very close). LG Motorsports claimed it would make 405 rwhp cam-only. Not sure that anyone ever reproduced their results, though. I suppose it depends on what hp level you are starting from and how many hours you are willing to spend tweaking the cam timing and computer tune.
I'm running a Patrick G 230/230 and make 388 rwhp (MAC headers, LS6 intake). I have a friend that ran the G5X3 and made 420 rwhp cam-only (Kooks headers, LS6 intake).

i think it will make between 385-400. i don't know anything about that bbk intake though so that may help/hurt. i had a 228 r on a 112+2 and made 383 and that split on yours may help some so i think you will have a decent setup.

??? What??? That makes no sense. You realize that there are many "small" cams that have made over 400 horse, right? Look at the old MTI Stealth 2 cam. I have seen dynos in the 420 range. That's a 224/220 cam. Or how about the AFR/Tony Mamo 224/228 cam? It has shown 400+. MTI's C1 "Hammer" cam was a 222/222. In a Corvette forum's C5 it put down 419 horse. Raughhammer's Camaro ran 10's with that cam.

What it comes down to is the matching components. Good heads are key, as are compression, free-flowing intake and exhaust, and a proper tune.

The OP's cam "should" make over 400, provided he has all the right supporting components. I'm also not sure about that intake. I think with a FAST 92 (or 90) would help, but even an LS6 intake might be better than the BBK.

Anyway, good luck on your quest to 400!!!

I know its not the same, but fwiw, my 226/236 .525 110lsa is making that. Last time I dynoed, it made 393rwhp, but added stepped headers & got a retune, and it picked up 3 tenths and 4mph w/ the same crappy 60' time. So I'm guessing I'm in the 400hp range now.

i emailed back and forth with lloyd elliot and we figured 228/232 .600/.600 with his ported heads would be around 420-430... it should be close
