I guess you can't read or comprehend what "supposed" to stands for.

Atleast you contributed something useful to the thread, thanks for the cam-only records.

Y2K Blue - the GMM TK cam in the g8 cam only record is similar to the raptor.
237/242 instead of theh raptors 236/242.

The Raptor? It's an outstanding cam, but maybe I missed out on your list of current mods. Is this for a cam only application? If so, then I would not get it on a +2 advance. I'd get it +4. This will better match the rpm range, static compression, and flow characteristics of a stock motor. If you're running a higher compression motor with ported heads, aftermarket rod bolts (for extended rpm) and enhanced oiling, then the +2 would probably be better.

The Street Sweeper has been around a little longer and has a very loyal following and track numbers to back it up. You certainly can't go wrong with either, but that's assuming that both of these cams are in fact correct for you. Maybe you listed it in another thread, but anybody worth their salt would not make a cam recommendation without knowing LOTS more about your total mods, your performance goals, and your tolerance for streetability.

Pat, thanks for the input. The motor this cam would be going into has the mods listed above, cam only for this year and id like to carry it over to the 347 . Mods for it will be cncd patriot LS-6 heads, somewhere around 11.1- 11.5 compression, H-beams, Forged pistons, and the reuse of the stock crank with balancing. I will either be reusing the ls-6 intake or switching to the fast 90/90 combo. As for goals id like to be in the daily driver 11 second field.

I think you'd need a minimum of a 4k stall, a little more gear (4.10), and shave some weight off the car if you want to run that cam.

that stall acts like a 4000 its rated at 3500-3800
that converter is loose enough for either of the above cams....like i said it acts like a 4000 or higher...ive datalogged mine flashing to 4600 n/a and 5 grand+ on nitrous...he definately has enough staall....

and with the 373 gears it should do pretty good with either cam...
but
