what kind of budget??

i say stick a small cam in it.

or some budget stage 1 heads with a thinner gasket. should expect 25-30hp.

there is a thread about heads only on stock cam...pretty impressive power and basically stock driveability.

if nothing else a thinner gasket for more compression...mill the heads if possible. both to clean them up and for the compression boost.

wouldn't hurt to do the timing chain and oil pump as well.

Not enough of a budget right now for heads and cam work.

Lifters, gaskets and fluids will probly cost you around $300, so that doesn't leave you much room for more. Also get new lifter trays they are like $5 dollars and you need 4 of them.
