Default Anyone run aftermarket heads with the stock cam?

Found one thread in the dyno section about a guy that did.

Next car is going to be a sleeper so that is why I ask.

i dont know about the heads but i heard about something you might be interested in. sorry for getting off the subject, but if you want to keep the stock cam for the stock sound then this is perfect. thunder racing makes a cheater cam that is suppose to sound completely stock but put out some good power. that would be great for a sleeper. http://www.thunderracing.com/ hope this helps, good luck man!

i thought about this a few times.... but if your going to build a sleeper you could have an aftermarket stealthy cam, something like a cheatr... or hell even an ls6 is going to show gains without being noticeable..

i would be interested to see all mods less a cam..

Yeah casting numbers would give it away.

Plenty of stealth cams out there.

I am not to worried about how the car sounds as much as I am about how it runs, my last motor sounded nasty and ran even better then it sounded.

most people are too dumb to look for casting numbers... or PRCls6 engraved in the side..

nobody notices it on mine and its right there in your face..

I dont know how "sleeper" you want to keep it, but in order to look & sound stock I would do:
383ci
ported cast heads with no company markings on them
TR cheatr cam
stock ls6 manifold
stock exhaust manifolds(dont know if you can port them or somthing)
stock ported TB
UD crank pulley
F.T.R.A.
hidden n2o system
stock cat-back

Cheater cam F-T-W Krazy!
Port the 241s, set yourself up a hidden n20 system and keep the feed lines away from the exhaust this time!...lol.

I would get some ported 241s.
Not to worried about those casting numbers lol.

The nitrous line will not be a problem on the next car lol.

Imagine a 402 with a stock or cheatR cam, with 241s and a money maker kit.
Easy 10 second car and nobody would know what hit em.

Now where do I get the money for all of this????
