Just don't strip the crank threads using the LS1howto directions for crank pulley removal/install...there has been a lot of that going around lately!

Yep, definitely good advice here. I just finished my cam swap and I used one of these tools and it was a piece of cake. I highly suggest getting one of these tools.

If you're not doing heads or a fast 90, I wouldn't worry about injectors. However, since you are going with a the MS3...I'd think about getting some Yella Terra or harland sharp rockers. (1.7 ratio is stock)...think they would complement your PRC Spring, pushrod upgrade.

Default build started!

got goin on the tear down tonight. got started around 5 took an hour out for dinner and quit at 9. I got the intake pulled off, fixed my shrader valve, and pulled my oil sending unit off (that I didnt break this time!) and put teflon tape on the threads and torqued that lil sob down so hopefully no more oil leaky! got it up in the air, got the radiator drained, all unhooked and ready to pull out of the car when ive got some more help in the morning.

think I made some pretty decent progress for 3 hours of work.

just some of the parts

and the intake pulled off

I will say this Speedinc is a great shop no doubt. But the best tuner in my opinion is Mike H. from Straightline Performance located in New Lenox Illinois give them a call ask for Mike you will not be disappointed. There number is in my sig.

all dyno's are different. the tuner told me they could take my car 10 miles down the road and put it on a dyno that would say im makin 415rwhp. said he had done it before without touching the tune just to prove a point. i was on the back of the rollers too. so no big deal bein under 400... i just didnt want something to be wrong and stick me in the 360 range or something. I could probably port the TB and finish the exhaust behind the Y and touch 400 on that dyno.

Its enough to kill my rear end as it is lol. definately think i lost power down low but i expected that. Once i get into the 3,600 range it really lights up. and up towards the high 5,000's my heads plastered back and Im starin out my T-Top. Im happy

oh and ive got the 853 heads

2 dyno vids. the one taken from the front was the first pull and only pulled to 6,000. the video taken from behind was later and pulled to 6,400. enjoy my dads comment at the end of the first one... he didnt realize you have to push the butten to turn the camera off.
