Default TEA heads arrived in the mail (pics)

I just recieved a set of stage 2 LS6 heads from TEA and they are just works of art... the exhaust and chambers have been hand finished anter CNC, and the intake has been CNC ported and left rough to keep fuel from sticking and forming larger droplets... the goodies are TFS/Ferrea 2.040"intake valves and 1.575" exhaust valves. Intake runner volume is 225cc. Assembled using dual platinum springs and titanium retainers, they are milled to 60 cc the workmanship is secont to no head ive ever seen... everything has been deburred and i can only recomend buying from them....

the flow is just awesome
Flow Data
lift Intake Exhaust
0.100 67 54
0.200 139 120
0.300 219 179
0.400 271 224
0.500 308 248
0.550 315 255
0.600 320 260

The intake has been matched to the heads, the boxes also contained thin MLS gastets, ls6 bolts, oil pump, ls2 HD chain, etc..

the ARP's are rod bolts.. not intake bolts, but they do make them, check their site for PN's

i cant wait to fire that beast up.. i was about to order a 100 shot, but i think this will get me plenty sideways for now, and there will be limits to what the 4l60 will handle

wow...those are the aluminum version of pure sex.

wish they had some smaller runner heads with that kind of work. i'm not sure i want to sacrifice my low end power with the 225cc heads.

you won't sacrafice low end power with a 225cc head as long as the proper CSA is maintained..that's a myth that needs to die already..
GM is putting L92 heads with 250+cc intake runners on heavy *** SUVs with no loss in low end TQ...
cross section is more important than the size of the runner..

Tea are a sponsor here... they are alittle more expensive than TSP and that gang of vendors, but you definately get what you pay for... i payed 1.6k for them but that was a christmas special, they are listed at 1.8K now (1.2k with customer supplied 243 cores,), but they flow like a pair of TFS´s right up to .600 lift and a couple of cfm more arround .300...

and they wont bulls#it you into parts you dont need, i asked him straight out if i should get rocker arms... and he said that he wouldnt in my case.... this is a guy who had my card number and stocks and sells two brands of rocker arms.... thats class! he even mocked up my heads and intake and portmatched them on an engine with my thickness headgaskets... two thumbs up from me!...
