Default Rod bolt torque? Help!

Trying to torque my rod end cap bolts and the specs say ;

Connecting Rod Bolts - First Design (First Pass) 15 lb ft
Connecting Rod Bolts - First Design (Final Pass) 60 degrees
Connecting Rod Bolts - Second Design (First Pass) 15 lb ft
Connecting Rod Bolts - Second Design (Final Pass) 75 Deg

I have a 99 LS1 out of a trans Am I am trying to determine if I have a fist or second design.

I am assuming I have second design but with something as critical as rod bolts I want to be sure..

Can the stock rod bolts be reused? or are they a one time bolt due to streatch?

If youre in there, you may as well upgrade the rod bolts. I wouldnt put stock ones back in.

As per the latest ALLDATA, the bolts are torqued to 15 ft lbs, then 85*.

Before the latest update, the second design bolts (with sleeve) were turned 75*, and the first design bolts were turned 60*

Is this for all rod bolts now? Doesn't matter style 1 or 2?

I believe these bolts are stretch fit and should be junked after 1 use. That the case with the turbo 4 cylinders I've worked on. I'd just go with arp studs

The fist design rod bolt has dog bone with one dot on the head of the bolt and no retaining sleeve, the second design rod bolt has dog bone with two dots on the head with retaining sleeve on shank.... idk much about first design but i reuse 2nt design all the time 2 and 3 times over.. spinning the engine to 6,400rpm + on stock set up with a little bump in power with a mild cam, just dont over torque/angle them hope this is helpful to you and others peace

If you go with upgraded bolts, you have to get machine work done on the rods and get oversized bearing bearings.

No, they are torque to angle, not torque to yield. Even GM says that you can reuse them.
