How much HP on ARP bolted stock rods
a person takes good LS1 rods, installed the ARP Pro-Series (the best ones they make) rod bolts, and set them up for floating pin (bushed the small end)......
HOW MUCH HP and RPM could you reasonably exspect them to last under (don't want to hear "its not worth it", "why try", etc.......want answers)

i believe he was asking how much power/rpms can you make, before the rods go KABOOM, when used with the ARP bolts
are the Pro series the $90 verions? Those are the kind I bought, since I didnt see any of those "wave-something" bolts for LS1s

Well i think higher than 6800 rpm is a definate rod killer.
Ive had several customers in the 450-600 rwhp range on stock rods with stock bolts and arp bolts.
I would say 600 rwhp if the rpms are kept reasonable (less than 6800)

I've made over 500 on a 90K mile motor with stock rods and bolts (99 model motor)....Only thing I do is keep my RPM's lower than what I could go...my H/C could handle 8000 rpm..but my car shifts at 6500...and I have 110,000 miles on it now.....

I heard that GM went to bigger, stronger rod bolts at some point, I think for the 2000 year and up. The years before that actually had a smaller diameter bolt with a sleave around it. The new bolts are larger diameter and don't have the sleave. If you have the new rod bolts, the word is you're good to 7000 rpm, but I wouldn't relay on that. I have the rpm limiter at 6750 rpm with my 2001 and haven't broke anything yet.

I`ve got the exact same setup as your asking about.Lunati NHRA flat top pistons Stock rods arp studs, Machined with floating wrist pins. Spin my motor to 6800rpm when I Race And have put 14psi boost to them a few times On Race fuel, No problem so far I make a little over 400rwhp @ 8psi so 14 psi on race fuel is proubly around 500rwhp. It only cost me $80.00 to have the rods machined for the floating pins. And the pistons come with your choice of floating or pressed pins. I`d say go for it.
